Can I cash a personal check at B of A with an out of state ID?
I have 2 personal checks from a friend that has a Bank of America account. I have an out of state ID, will B of A still cash the check? I am goingt o the branch the account was opened at.|||If it is a government issued ID. I worked in a bank and there was a book showing what a drivers license and other IDs from the US and some local countries and passports looked like.|||Since the Patriot Act came into being, you have to have an account at the bank to cash a check there - that's at all banks. I learned this the hard way. Used to be you could cash a check at a bank on which it was drawn even if you didn't have an account there yourself, but no longer the case. Your best bet is to deposit the check into your own account and then make a withdrawal.|||As long as the checks are made payable to you and the funds are available and your ID is valid, then there shouldn't be a problem with cashing the checks.|||Only if everyone is drunk.
